To Vote or Not to Vote...

Comments

It's true that sometimes the choices are uninspiring at best. I just hate the idea of sacrificing my right to vote.
voting is compulaory in Australia, you can be fined if you don't...but even so, I think that if you don't partipate and vote that you have no right to complain about anything...
In some cases I would agree, if you dont vote in any election at all or refuse to vote because you have that mythical belief voting is pointless.

I dont know how it is in Australia but here we have many different offices we have to vote on. We vote on sheriffs, city council members, mayors, governors, district judges, criminal judges, congress, senate, state representatives and thats only a small portion of the offices we vote on, so skipping one single election because a person feels all of the candidates would be harmful to this country does not qualify a citizen to lose the right to complain how this country is run.
Me to, but as long as i still vote in all the other elections that are just as important, then missing one because the candidates are not what i consider worthy to be President, I can live with that.
I am struggling with this same question! I do not trust Barak Obama because he is way too new. I'm a hard core Hillary supporter....I will admit that so I may be a bit biased. If Hillary doesn't get the nomination (hey...I can still hope!) I seriously do not know who I'll be voting for.
In the end it doesnt matter who we supported in the beginning, for me its making sure that very last vote goes to the person who will give this country at least a chance.

For me experience plays little part in my choice for President, its kind of like looking at data sheets full of numbers, after looking at it hour after hour it all starts blurring together, sometimes it takes a fresh set of eyes to see the problems and offer up solutions. Our President doesnt run this country alone, so as long as the President has experienced advisers, I wont turn down that fresh set of eyes.
